Well first of all I haven't decided if I would like to play the drums or front the band. Now, if I was to be the lead singer-I would definately have to have some drums or barrels or some type of unique percussion instruments in front to beat the hell out of when i wasn't singing...i dont know about you but I think it would be badass to see a crazy ass lead singer kicking ass on some big ass drums and singing too!!! anyways i don't know if i have the vocal ability yet, but i am confident in my capacity as a drummer-so i guess we'll see but what we will probly need is:

Lead Vocal
(someone who can really belt it out, go beserk, and get the croud rowdy as fuck...)

Lead Guitar
(someone who can really jam those heavy riffs, and possibly solo and create cool effects as well when needed...)

Rythym Guitar
(I love the full sound of bands with two guitars, and I love harmonized guitar parts)

(Gotta have that lo end...nuff said)

(keyboards would definately be a must. I want a full sound, some eery effects, keyboards really broaden your horizons and enable the band to carry the music to another level...)

(i want a drummer who really really knows what he's doing, not just flailing his arms around...double bass a must...i want a drummer who hands-down loves metal...)

(if someone has experience with sampling, etc. it would be a welcome addition to the project...)

Auxillary percussionist?
(a possiblity, adds a lot of sound and a lot of visual to the live performance...)

VERY IMPORTANT: I would need the find someone with the knowledge and the resources to help create the look of the band, and the costumes. I DO NOT want these outfits to look cheesy. I want original concepts with edge, and EVIL EVIL EVIL!!!

GUESS WHAT: a project like this requires lots of help outside of the music. We would need people or COMPANIES with interests in music to help with:

Stage Production/Live Show Coordination
Practice Space etc.

If you know anyone with these resources and/or interests please let them know about the project or pass word about this site...

Finally the other day I had a vision...
This vision is influenced by a number of things...firstly, the music video for Mushroomhead's Sun Doesn't Rise Video. Very cool video, if you haven't seen it, check it out as soon as possible...anyway the video features a really creepy looking Scarecrow and a lot of Dark imagery that I got a fucking boner watching...
Secondly, Jeepers Creepers the movie. When the demon hides and poses as a scarecrow, damn that was fucking awesome, it really looked badass...
Also I jumped on the bandwagon to see what the hype was about-i went and saw the passion of the christ...which by the way-is a gory ass movie. anyway, i was sitting there halfway watching the movie...halfway daydreaming...and i thought to myself "you know what, jesus kinda reminds me of a scarecrow, the way he hangs there..." AND IT HIT ME!!! The image of a scarecrow is very powerful!!! When most people see a scarecrow it invokes some very powerful feelings subconsciencely. Mainly FEAR, and the image of someone being CRUSCIFIED...So I thought to myself:
Imagine a band made up of evil, demonic looking scarecrows!!! This could easily sound cheesy, i know, but just think about it for a moment. Ponder the possibilities, and the endless opportunities for visuals and imagery...I'm sorry but I think it's brilliant!!! When I saw mushroomhead's album cover-i bought the album and I didn't even know who they were!!! Now imagine walking down the isle of your favorite record store. You don't really know what you want to buy, your just perusing around...and suddenly you stumble upon an album cover that catches your eye. You see a group of evil looking scare crows all huddled together, looking just plain demonic!!!! The band's name is SkarecroW and the titles of the song's sound like something you would really be interested in. I think this band would have major potential and could very marketable...

I fucking love the likes of Slipknot, Mushroomhead, Motograter, etc...I was thinking long and hard the other day, trying to come up with a similar concept for a band. It's really hard when you stop and think about it and try to come up with a persona for a metal band like that. Now don't get me wrong, i am not trying to copy these other's just that I really enjoy the concept they have taken up. Each of these bands has adopted a group image. Slipknot each has a demented mask and they all wear prison uniforms. Motograter are a little tribal, all wearing wicked red, black, and white body paint...mushroomhead all wear the black and white camoflouge gear with the evil X'd-out eyes and what not...

I enjoy this concept for a number of reasons:

1. With the growing number of bands that have been becoming popular, based on looks and not talent-it seems the quality of music has diminished and attention has been reverted away from the musicianship and directed toward don't get me wrong image is certainly important, but it's not everything. When all of the members of the band are hidden behind an image/mask it brings the focus back on the music. Here's a very good example...many many people absolutely love the band Tool. but I bet half the fans of the band couldn't point out a single one of the members if they saw 'em on the street. But you play 2 seconds of a Tool song and you'll have even the newest Tool fan shouting the name of the song and strumming along Air-Guitar Style...

2. Adopting an image for the entire band also creates a sense of unity and brotherhood, and i just love the way the band looks together as a group. If you saw a member of slipknot with his clown mask and prison uniform, parading around in a metallica music video-not only would he stand out, but you would say to yourself "hey, that dude's in slipknot!" But many other musicians fit right in, guest starring live and in music videos. A band that looks unified will act and perform unified. And that will bring a sense of 'tightness' to the group...

3. Also...mystery. When you never get to see who's behind the mask, you'll just keep wanting to find out more and more about who it is. When you don't know what the band members look like, and what they are like, it creates a sense of mystery...and keeps people coming back for more...
